About Me:
I love to scrapbook, hang out with friends, go boating, and playing wheelchair tennis.
Tell us your story…
Well I am kind of a mystery and my Dr's are still in the process of pinpointing my Diagnosis. I was pretty healthy up until 2004 when I was put in the hospital with a bowl obstruction and Abdominal pain. While I was in the Hospital I was placed in a medical induced coma and was overdosed on a medication needless to say I left the hospital like I had parkinson's disease. Then I developed idiopathic torsion dystonia of my lower extremities. I have been working hard in therapy, but right now I am in a wheelchair and hoping that I get back on my walker soon!

That sounds great. :) I'm still learning with my wheelchair, as I have only had it for a few weeks, but I'm doing pretty well with it. I have spasms in my left arm, but they're kind of controlled with Botox. My right arm is not affected usually, and I can get around in the wheelchair well even when the spasms are pretty bad. So, I think I would be okay.
I don't ever see many others who are diagnosed with dystonia. My doc has said that she had a patient who was very similar to my case, and I'm wondering if it may have been you. Mine began in 1998 when I was 17, and just began affecting my legs severely in the past six months or so, and I've been in a chair now for about three months.
Good luck at your tournament! And I hope that things are going well for you!
Steve Pa-Paw Pyatte is the guy that you will hear MCing the event. Go to:

Look at the picture, he looks scary, but is one of the NICEST people I have ever had the pleasure of hanging out with. Tell him Dan, the Skier is at the State Water Ski Championships and I am thinking of all the Bikers that have always been willing to help RHI Sports out!
Hey, thats cool!
That is a Fun time, please tell "Pa-Paw" I said Hey Brother!!
I have not been able to do that for RHI for a few years, cause it is always on the same Day as our State Championships.
Anyway, I know you will have fun!
Take care,
D...:)
Julie,
John just E-mailed me inquiring about you this Sat. Do you have Tennis this Sat, all day?
Our Program is going to be from 8-5PM, he just needs your cage size.
Come on Gurl, this will be your last chance this Summer. You also said you had the Ski Fever!
Lets get you out there, just give an hour or so!
Julie,
We have our Community Learn to Ski Program this Saturday at 18th and Lafayette Rd, (Munincipal Gardens), from 8-5PM, if you think you might be interested, call John Kneisly at 402-8517 (cell) to inquire about it.
Hopefully will see you soon.
Also, keep in mind that I will be competing at the State Championships at Hawthorn Lake in Danville the following Sat 7-26 all day, Slalom, Trick and Jump, if you might want to come out and watch.
See ya!
Dan
