Joe - I often ask the same question. Why us? Why him? Why me? I don't know the answer. On the other hand, why not us? This is a terrible, terrible turn of events for us. What would the future have held for everyone? Our life was not going to stay th…

Brain Injury
About Me:
i am an ABI person, that means Acquied Brain Injury. my whole entire right side is numb, i'm in a wheel chair. my speech is slurred, but you'll eventually understand me and i wear either an eye patch or glasses because i see double. i had a Brain Tumor that caused a Stroke! or is it the other way around? i don't know.
right now, i live by myself. i like to be independent.
another thing, that kid in the picture you see is my nephew, but isn't he adorable? i'm single as can be. i am here because it's so DAMN hard to find a girlfriend and also share some thoughts about Brain Injury. so if you're interested, don't be shy. i don't care! try me!
i like basically everything! i'm not hard to please. i also think i care about other people before me. i know that it can be a bad thing. but i don't care!
i recently got eye sugury, so now, i don't have to wear glasses or an eye patch. i have dark brown eyes. those you see, are blue contacts! truly! if you don't believe me, call up my Mom. she hates them! matter of fact, to this day we argue about them!
you have to understand, that's how i used to look like. i think i look different! other people say i don't. "then why don't i get the same attention than if i was wearing contacts! geez! it's frustrating!" those are contacts you see! i now look like Tiger Woods! big difference, i think!
i'm just being honest with you! that really, really, is me! and oh, i gave my Mom until May 13, 2014, to do whatever to my eyeballs. then after 5 years, i'm going to wear contacts. i just feel better with them in. so please believe me. if you don't, you can call my Mom, June.

please believe me!
she hates my contacts!
i love them!
one more thing, why would i make this up? honestly?
Tell us your story…
all i did was fall. the Doctor said i would've gotten headaches. well, i did, but i thought it was because of me drinking, so i took Asprin. oops! i don't drink anymore and i quit smoking. i really don't have any bad habits. i've done them all!
i was working at Jillian's, downtown Indianapolis, IN. it's a 3 story Sport's Bar and Grill.
all of a sudden, i fell, onto a customer! for some odd reason i got back up and apologized, but after that incident i didn't want to take anymore tables. i fell for no reason, gees, so i gave them all away and went to the boss to ask him if i could go home.
the only way i was going home was by paramedics. so i agreed to that. well, when they came, they asked me what hospital i wanted to go to! after getting a recomendation, i choose the closest one, Methodist.
i remember when i got there, i had to fill out a bunch of paperwork then waited. well, they came after awhile, then they push my stretcher into the elevater. there i fell into a 3-month coma.
when i awoke, all i could do was blink. i had to learn everything over, now left-handed. i was a righty.
