Home Modifications…What did you do? and Who can help?
Many times patients from RHI will need some kind of home modification (i.e. wheel chair ramp, bathroom roll-in shower, etc.). There are many options and ideas to suit every individual need. Tell us who or what you've done to make your life at home more comfortable and convenient.

After my injury, I lived with my mom and the only modifications we had to do were build a ramp to get in and remove the door from the bathroom. I was blessed to have awesome support from friends and family who were always there to help when needed.

I was told that prior to discharge, one of the therapists can come out and do a "home evlauation" to let you know what all you need. I'm sure they can refer you to someone.
